About Pocket Arcade
Pocket Arcade is a small collection of browser-first games built to feel immediate: open a page, understand the controls, and start playing without an account, installer, or app-store handoff.
What the project is
The collection currently spans arcade, racing, physics, puzzle, sports and atmospheric games. Each cartridge has its own rules, controls, progression and explanatory page rather than acting as a wrapper around an external game or download.
Pocket Arcade is published as a ScubeStacks project. ScubeStacks is the umbrella site for independently built software products and experiments.
What we optimize for
Games are kept lightweight enough to run in a modern browser on phones, tablets and desktop computers. The project favors short sessions, readable controls, direct interaction and visible game rules over accounts, virtual currencies or forced sign-ups.
Some games save local progress such as a best score, unlocked stage or audio preference in your browser. That data is designed to stay local to the device unless a feature explicitly says otherwise.
Why there is written content around the games
Each game page includes an explanation of how the game works, the important controls and what changes as a run progresses. That text is meant for players first: it should help someone decide whether a game is for them and understand it before or after playing.
